Well I managed to wrangle this to Canada. During the X2000 competition that gave Amtrak the Acela the ABB X2000 entry got somewhat repainted and came to Canada. I love the oddities, so this is right up my corner. I plan on installing a pair of Soundtrax mini cube speakers (154), and a 21 pin Tsunami 2 decoder, but for now a lokpilot will do the job

Cool! Never thought I'd hear about an X2 being exported outside Scandinavia, in h0 scale I mean. A tip is to get new drive wheels with brass gears. The plastic ones are prone to breaking. Everyone I know who has one has changed theirs. The couplers tend to be finicky. So almost all of us who has one try not to disconnect them but rather transport the train as a complete set.
If you want to complement with more coaches you should know that they were produced in 2 series. 2012 and 2021(?). And for some reason the pins where switched from top to bottom between the series. So if separately bought coaches don't work you have to disassemble the coupling and switch it over.

mjhobby.se (same company as jeco). They're only available in swedish but google translate works well with Swedish generally.

It didn't get imported in volume, I ordered it from mjhobby. I believe this is from the second run, but there were no extra coaches in blue when I ordered it on mjhobby. I don't expect to be able to get any more coaches, before I got directed to mjhobby I was not able to find any online elsewhere.
google translate did good enough, most of the problems were the payment system they use, it did not like that I was from overseas.

Depending on how much you want the extra middle coach and bar/restaurant coach you can order 2 restaurant coaches in grey, which are in stock, and rebuild one to a blue middle coach and then repaint the restaurant coach. Rebuilding the grey restaurant coach to a blue middle coach only requires a new interior and body and is a simple switch over. Repainting the restaurant coach is the trickier one though. But going this way would give you 2 restaurant coach bodies as a bonus. One to repaint and one to work out the kinks of repainting it.

I probably wont go to that extent, not that I am not capable. I just have only so much time. I did really want the bistro car, but there were none when I ordered. I frankly don't know enough about the X2/X2000, It's just the right type of odd for me.

It is such a niche thing. If for whatever reason Athearn or Rapido was making a X2000 I could see it in a second run, but these models mostly have sold in Europe. Its just the crazies like me who are willing to do it.
